Can we bring our pet to our photo session?
You bet. We just appreciate knowing ahead of time so we can fill the water bowl and dig out our lint rollers. Kindly consult your photographer about the timing of introducing your furry friend into the family photography.
How will the photographers get a natural smile from my child?
We are looking to capture a range of your child’s expressions, from natural smiles to serious looks. Please refrain from telling your child to “say cheese,” and avoid punishment for misbehavior. We can manage all kinds of spunky behavior. Since we have such a short time with your child sometimes rewards for following directions and good listening keeps the mood light and playful
What do our photographers expect from the parents during the session?
We prefer to work as a team. You know your child better than we do. As you prepare for your portrait photography session, notice what you do or say that garners great reactions. Hug and kiss your kids, laugh out loud, and strike a festive mood. We’ll ask you to look at the camera when the timing is right, but for the most part ignore the camera.

Why is professional portrait photography 'expensive'?
We think it's such a great question that it's deserving of an answer. From the first call you place to our photo studio we are committed to giving you an unparalleled chunk of our time. Planning for the session, preparing, photographing, editing, posting, reviewing, showing, ordering and framing add up to a significant amount of people hours. Having great folks by our side and a beautiful location in an urban setting are our two largest expenses. Our satisfied clientele know how much of a difference it makes having good people show you a good time.

Do you offer Gift Certificates?
We certainly do. They make exceptional gifts for new parents, house closings, birthday gifts and more. You can choose between purchasing a session with a certain number of photographs or for a written dollar amount.
Do you Travel?
Yes, I do! Locations further than 30 miles from the 55106 area code will require an additional fee of $1 per additional mile (there and back) and will be added on to your final session price. Please be sure to double check if you are unsure if the town you live in will require the travel fee or contact me.
Will we own the copyrights to the images from our session?
No. I retain the copyright to all images that I take however, you will receive a personal print release to use the images for personal printing, social media, blogs, etc.

What should we wear?
Clothing choice is always the biggest decision when planning your session. Children look great in fun, bold colors, textures or patterns. Avoid large logos or clothing that may take the focus off of your child. Jeans and sweaters, hats, scarves and boots are fun for winter and fall. Sundresses and lighter clothing are fun for the summer months. Families don’t have to wear all the same color or same outfits, I suggest choosing from the same color family. For example, in the fall you may want to choose warm colors like browns, reds, oranges. and yellows. Lay the clothes out together and see how well they compliment each other. Newborns usually are too small to fit well in any outfit. I have diaper covers for diaper shots but a plain onesie or naked babies are cute too!

When will we see our proofs?
In about two weeks, I will send you an email to let you know your gallery is online. The email will include a password and instructions for ordering your prints. Your gallery will be online for 30 days for you to choose your prints and make your purchase. I would love to meet with you to go through your proofs together. I can help you create wall groupings, select frames and choose the best images for your walls.

Can I put the photos on my blog or Facebook?
ABSOLUTELY! If you see your images on my facebook page, please tag yourself. Once you have placed your order, you can request 3-4 specific favorits for me to add to facebook as well. Please leave my logo on your images when reposting them.

What if our session is rained out?
We will reschedule your session as soon as my schedule and the weather allows.
